Sanderson Scoops Creative Collaboration Award at Walpole Luxury Awards 2025

We are thrilled to share that we have won the coveted Creative Collaboration Award at the Walpole British Luxury Awards 2025 for our work with Highgrove Gardens and The King’s Foundation on Highgrove by Sanderson.

"A REmarkable design journey..."

Walpole, the sector body for the British luxury industry, brought together 400 industry creatives who gathered at The Dorchester for an evening celebrating the best of British luxury, with particular emphasis on creativity, innovation and the global cultural relevance of Great Britain.

The Creative Collaboration Award is awarded to a ‘British luxury brand that has launched a collaboration with an individual, a brand or a cultural institution to create a new, innovative luxury product or experience.’

Highgrove by Sanderson, as a collaboration, has been a remarkable design journey of immense creativity, taking a deep dive, not just into our own archive for inspiration, but connecting with the nature and values embedded at Highgrove Gardens, for an enchanting collection that celebrates the wonder of the gardens, nurtured for over 45 years by His Majesty, King Charles III and reflects the history between Sanderson and the Royal Households. Working closely with The King’s Foundation, this collaboration reflects our shared values and commitments to British design, the environment and protecting and uplifting a legacy of design to be shared and enjoyed for generations.

Our CRowning Glory

Lisa Montague, CEO of Sanderson Design Group, was present to accept the award, presented by another of our cherished collaborators, British designer and couturier Giles Deacon. During her speech, Lisa thanked Walpole for the tremendous recognition. She remarked, “Representing Sanderson as a Grantee of our Royal Warrant is an honour, and winning this award is our 'crowning glory”. 

“Highgrove by Sanderson is not so much a ‘once in a lifetime’ collection as a lifetime of collaboration with the Royal Households that began when the Duke of York first visited our Perivale factory in 1924. Since then, we’ve decorated the royal households, received royal warrant honours from two kings and a queen, and now created this collection in close collaboration with The King’s Foundation.

“My heartfelt thanks go to QEST, the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, for their introduction to Scott at The King’s Foundation, recognising our shared values and the importance of British craft, creativity and making for the future of our nation when he was looking for an interior design partner. Thank you to The King’s Foundation team for opening your gates to let us explore the wonder of Highgrove Gardens and tell its story through design. We are thrilled that our donation on each meter sold will build a human-made future.”

During the evening, Walpole’s Chief Executive, Helen Brocklebank, said: "Tonight we celebrate the imagination, creativity and excellence that make British luxury so cherished worldwide. Despite trade tensions, economic constraints and a softer global luxury market, British luxury tells a powerful story of confidence, ingenuity and determination. Our collective contribution has never been greater… My congratulations to tonight’s winners and thanks to all our sponsors and partners without whom this evening would not have been possible.”
