Description

Safar is an exquisite new design, inspired by an African baule cloth found in the archive. A complex design, the ikat warp has been printed with embroidery added. Adding to Safar`s unique nature, the yarns are screen printed before being woven into the weft and then embroidered, creating a wonderfully detailed design where the intricate yarn-dying technique comes through beautifully.
