Conscious Design

We believe in creating enduringly beautiful designs that stand the test of time while protecting the world that inspires much of our work.
Description

Trelliage has been created by combining two naturalistic nineteenth century patterns held in our archive. A flowering trellis design with undulating branches and flowers provides a classic structure. Then, a selection of exquisitely detailed Victorian botanical representations from another design in the archive were interspersed within the trellis pattern, giving way to a design that is `classicism recontexturalised` in the words of Giles. The Victorians were fascinated by nature, natural history, and new discoveries of flora and fauna. These extraordinary, delicate, and remarkable motifs featured In Trelliage, are a fantastical example of this, transporting us back to the era.

Sanderson x Giles Deacon is a sublime collection of fabric and wallpaper, designed in collaboration with British designer and couturier, Giles Deacon.
