Description

Oology is a wide-width wallpaper in this signature Giles Deacon design. Oology, meaning the study of, or collecting of birds` eggs, depicts both the strength and fragility of the shell, gloriously coloured by nature and a modern-day reminder of the ancient world. Referencing the Victorian`s love of collecting and showcasing beauty, Oology Portal transports us to an age when beauty, science and nature collided. The one sublime colourway, Silkie, refers to the same named chicken with a distinctly fluffy plumage, its texture akin to silk. The unusual qualities of the bird are translated into the curious and extraordinary colours and freckles of the birds` eggs as featured in this panel wallpaper. Printed on textured mica ground, this paper gives the eggs texture and lifts the print while remaining pearly and decadent.
